Healthcare Workers Rising provides free classes for Home Health Aides, Personal Care Aides, and CDPAP caregiveres in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Niagara Falls & Utica. From Basic Life Support/CPR Certification to Coping with Grief & Loss, we provide the trainings home care workers need to care for clients and themselves.
SOME OF THE FREE TRAININGS WE OFFER:
Free Basic Life Support/CPR Certification Class - This is a free online AHA certified CPR/BLS training. After completing this 2 hour online course and 1 hour in-person skills assessment, you will receive your BLS/CPR certification.
Mental Health First Aid - This free certification class helps caregivers understand common mental health issues, such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorders, anxiety and personal disorders and trains you on how to provide better care to your patients.
NYS First Aid + Basic Life Support/CPR - This is a free online AHA NYS First Aid + CPR/BLS training. Learn basic First Aid - such as how to deal with wounds, bone injuries, seizures - as well as BLS/CPR skills. Complete the basic knowledge training online and earn a temporary certificate until you can complete your skills training.
Grief and Loss - Participants learn about the impact of chronic grief & loss on caregivers’ mental and physical health and how to continue to provide care after loss.
